Copyright policy and designated agent
Version 1.0 · Effective date: October 29, 2026 · Braidly Technologies LLC
In short
If you believe something in Braidly infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent below. We review it promptly and may remove or disable access to the material. If your material was removed by mistake, you can send a counter-notice. We may end the accounts of repeat infringers.
1. Our designated agent
Notices of claimed copyright infringement go to our agent, designated with the U.S. Copyright Office under 17 U.S.C. 512(c)(2):
- Copyright Agent, Braidly Technologies LLC
- Address: c/o Registered Agents Inc, 6650 Rivers Ave., STE 100, Charleston, SC 29406
- Phone: 864-326-3861
- E-mail: support@braidly.co
Copyright Office designation: DMCA-1084587. Please put "Content complaint" in the subject line of an e-mail, as section 11 of our Terms of Service says.
2. How to send a notice
Most of what is in Braidly sits in private family workspaces that only the family and the people it invites can see. If you can see the material, tell us where it is (for example, which record or message, and when it was added); if you cannot, describe it as well as you can. Your notice must be in writing and include:
- a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or of a person authorised to act for them;
- the copyrighted work you say is infringed (or, for several works, a representative list);
- the material you say is infringing, and enough information for us to find it;
- your name, postal address, phone number and e-mail address;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and
- a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are authorised to act for the owner.
If the material is an intimate image of you shared without your consent, write to the same address. Section 11 of our Terms says we review those within 48 hours.
3. What we do with a notice
We review it promptly and may remove or disable access to the material. If we do, we take reasonable steps to tell the person who added it, so that they can send a counter-notice.
4. Counter-notice: if your material was removed by mistake
Send a written counter-notice to the agent above that includes:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- the material that was removed or disabled, and where it was before;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith the material was removed or disabled by mistake or because it was misidentified; and
- your name, postal address and phone number, a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the district where your address is (or, if your address is outside the United States, any district in which Braidly may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the notice or their agent.
We send a copy of your counter-notice to the person who sent the notice and tell them we will put the material back in 10 business days. We then put it back in 10 to 14 business days after we received your counter-notice, unless our agent first hears that they have filed a court action to stop you.
5. Repeat infringers
As section 11 of our Terms of Service says: "We may end the accounts of repeat infringers."
6. Please be accurate
Under 17 U.S.C. 512(f), anyone who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, can be liable for the damages that causes, including costs and attorneys' fees. If you are not sure whether something infringes your rights, consider asking a lawyer first.
