Version 1.0 · Effective date: October 26, 2026 · Braidly Technologies LLC

Accessibility at Braidly

Braidly is for every parent and every child in a family, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, zoom or high contrast settings. We want all of them to be able to use it without help.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, the international standard for accessible websites and apps.

Where we are today

Braidly partially meets WCAG 2.1 AA. Some parts meet it fully. Others still have gaps, and we list those below rather than leave you to find them.

What we checked, and when

On October 25, 2026 we reviewed four parts of Braidly:

  • the public website, including pricing, FAQ, safety, privacy and terms pages;
  • signing in, requesting a beta spot, setting up or joining a family, and accepting our terms;
  • the Kids View, the schedule children see on their own device;
  • the court export.

We used automated testing (axe-core in Chrome, at desktop and phone screen sizes) and read the code of every page against each WCAG 2.1 AA requirement. We fixed what we found: text that was too faint to read, form fields without labels, calendar days that could not be reached with a keyboard, messages a screen reader did not announce, and pages that scrolled sideways on a small phone.

Known limitations

  • Not yet tested with screen readers. We have checked the code, but not yet done a full test with VoiceOver, TalkBack, NVDA or JAWS.
  • Custody days are shown in colour. On the calendar, one parent's days are blue and the other's orange. Screen readers say whose day it is, and tapping a day shows it in words, but on screen the calendar itself uses colour alone. We are working on a second visual cue.
  • Event dots are shown in colour. The small dots for family events, activities and school events differ only by colour. Tap the day to see each event and its kind in words.
  • Form field borders are faint. The outline of text boxes is light grey. Every box has a label beside it.
  • Printed and PDF court exports. The court export can be printed or saved as a PDF from your browser. We have not checked that PDF for screen readers. If you need it in another format, ask us.
  • The rest of the app. Messages, expenses, the parent calendar, settings and other signed-in pages were not part of this review. We will review them next.
  • Other companies' pages. Signing in with Google and paying through Stripe take you to pages those companies run.

Tell us about a barrier

If something in Braidly is hard or impossible for you to use, please tell us what you were trying to do and what happened. You do not need the technical words.

E-mail support@braidly.co with the subject "Accessibility", or call (864) 326-3861. It helps to know the page, the device and browser, and any assistive technology you use, but any report is welcome. We reply within 5 business days. If we cannot fix the problem quickly, we tell you when we expect to, and help you get what you need in the meantime.

Other formats

You can ask for any of our documents, including our Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy and your court export, in another format, such as plain text, large print or a format that works with your screen reader. E-mail support@braidly.co with the subject "Accessibility".
